Classifiers are mainly spiral classifiers and hydrocyclones. They are widely used for classifying ore sands in the close-circuit process together with ball mill in the dressing plant, or for classifying ore sands and fine silts in gravity concentrator, classifying the particle size of ore pulp in metal beneficiation process, and for desliming and dehydration in ore dressing. The classifier is reliable and easy to operate with simple structure.

Spiral classifiers can be divided into single spiral classifier and double spiral classifier according to the number of spiral shafts.
Spiral classifiers can be divided into three types according to the height of overflow weir: high weir, low weir and submerged.
High weir spiral classifier – equipped with certain depression area, suitable for classifying coarse granules, and overflow particle size greater than 100 screen meshes can be obtained.
Low weir spiral classifier – small depression area, low overflow production capacity. It is generally used in ore sand washing and desliming.
Submerged spiral classifier – large depression area and great depth, suitable for classifying fine granules, and overflow particle size smaller than 100 screen meshes can be obtained.
