Filter is a device for separation of solid particles and liquid via porous media (filter cloth, filter plate, etc) by using pressure difference.

Ceramic filter is used for recovery of fine coal slime. It has an engine base, and under it there is a fine coal slime and liquid trough within which there is a liquid level controller. At the two ends of the fine coal slime and liquid trough, negative pressure water tanks are installed, with negative pressure coupling assembly fixed at one end, and vacuum pump pipe installed at the other end. The vacuum pump pipe is connected with a vacuum pump. There is a coal slime recovery rotor set up on the said engine base, which is composed of spindle, multilevel ceramic filter disk, stripper plate, multi-sectional effluent connecting pipeline, supporting plate of pipeline and movable negative pressure coupling assembly. The rotor is located at the inside of the said fine coal slime and liquid trough. The ceramic filter disk is made up of many ceramic microwell plates with hollow cavity, and the multiple microwell plates with hollow cavity on the same axis are connected by the said effluent connecting pipeline.
